About this session

The issue is not awareness, it is translation.

Most large industrial sites are not starting from a blank page. They already have decarbonisation targets, audit findings, roadmaps and capital constraints. A roadmap shows what needs to change, but the site still has to decide what moves first, what needs feasibility work, and what creates risk if it is pushed too early. This session looks at the stage after the roadmap: turning decarbonisation direction into a project pipeline that can survive technical review, capital approval, production constraints and implementation reality.

Relevant if you work in

  • Site leaders managing decarbonisation targets, audit findings and capital priorities.
  • Plant directors balancing cost, carbon, uptime and production risk.
  • Sustainability and energy managers turning targets into site-level action.
  • Engineering, utilities and operations leaders developing project pipelines.
  • Multi-site groups moving from decarbonisation strategy into delivery.

You should attend if you are

  • You have audit findings or roadmap actions that need to become real onsite projects.
  • You need stronger project definition before funding, design or implementation.
  • Your site has viable opportunities, but delivery is slowed by resource, risk or timing.
  • You need to align sustainability, engineering, operations and finance around the next move.
  • You want to avoid turning good findings into weak capital projects.

What you'll learn

01

Why audit findings and roadmap actions

lose momentum after the strategy stage.

02

What usually blocks the move

from opportunity to onsite project.

03

What needs to be checked

before funding, design or implementation.

04

Which mistakes create weak business cases

and poor project sequencing.

05

How to frame the next technical conversation

inside your site.

06

Where EM3 can support the move

from roadmap to real project delivery.

Turning Energy Audit Findings into Projects That Survive Site Reality

Most sites are not short of ideas. The hard part is turning audit findings and roadmap actions into projects that can be engineered, funded and delivered without disrupting the plant. A practical look at what has to happen between finding the opportunity and building the project.

The Missing Middle: How to Turn Energy Findings into Fundable Industrial Projects

  • Why audit findings do not automatically become fundable projects.
  • How to sort findings into the right next step: act now, investigate, run feasibility, move into Basis of Design, or hold.
  • What a capital-ready energy or decarbonisation project needs to show.
